Where business details come from
We compile listings from public business websites, public directories and Google Maps business information, licensed or authorised CSV research exports, information you supply and relevant waste-carrier registers. Details may include business name, service area, address, telephone, website, categories, aggregate review information and registration details. Business email addresses and named contacts are held privately for relationship management and are not published as listing email addresses. We record corrections and communications you provide.
Purpose and basis
We rely on legitimate interests to maintain a useful local business directory, verify information and manage provider relationships, considering reasonable expectations and the impact on sole traders and named staff. Publication is not an endorsement or an indication of partnership. Scraped contact details do not establish permission to send marketing. Partner messages through our email service require recorded permission; recipients can withdraw it at any time. Listing inclusion, verified registration and partner relationship are separate records.
Notice and objections
Where we obtain personal information indirectly, we provide privacy information within the applicable period, normally no later than one month and at the first communication or disclosure if sooner, unless a documented legal exception applies. The administrator must review the source and appropriate notice before publishing personal information from an import. Ask us for the specific source of your record, a correction, removal or review of our legitimate-interest assessment. We will consider objections promptly and stop direct marketing on request. Removing a contact from communications does not automatically remove a corporate business listing; we review listing removal separately.
Sharing, retention and rights
Public listing information is visible to visitors and search engines. Private contact, consent and relationship notes are restricted to our administrator and service providers. We use Supabase, Vercel and Resend as described in the main privacy policy, including overseas processing safeguards. Inactive prospect contacts are reviewed after 12 months; active partner records are kept during the relationship and reviewed within 24 months after it ends. Source imports are removed after 30 days and message content after 24 months. Minimal suppression records remain to honour opt-outs. The access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, consent and complaint rights in our main privacy policy apply. No automated eligibility decision is made.
